Boone Co. Iowa | I keep hearing that too. And I agree, we did a trip to Wisconsin last week, generally the corn looks great.
I would also add that the nitrogen has been and is traveling out of the watersheds.
The Raccoon River has been running towards the full side, and the nitrate levels have been, and are still, high.

I personally think my streak of higher corn yields (5 years running, I have topped the previous year’s yield) is coming to an end.
I think Boone County corn yields led the state last year so probably not a surprise.
I expect the national yield to make a record, but I think my local area is not going to top last year. Last year we (locally) had Goldilocks weather, and this year we have been too wet.
