North Central US | The latest one I've heard is, from what I understood of it on the radio, " use ethanol so we can achieve energy independence".
That's great and all, but we...already...did...
It would have been a great advertisement to run about 8 years ago, back when that was the big push that was achieved in the last month of President Trump's first term. Now that we are a net exporter again, it doesn't really make sense,especially with cheap oil.
I suppose it's better than advertising to electric car users (clean air), but its like they're completely disconnected from the world.
Now would be the time to run something about supporting farmers in a time of tarriffs and low prices. I would expect in 10 years when corn is at a record high, that will be the campaign.
