Had a plane cropduster, sorry, ag applicator, tell me the nozzles on a plane are oriented so the air goes across them, shearing off the spray constantly. Claims they make a very fine mist that way and get excellent coverage. They change the angle based on the product. Maybe, maybe not, just passing along.
