Pittsburg, Kansas | Kind of interesting. Not sure why Aetna wants to pay for such a visit. Supposedly for our health. I suppose for some people who did nothing nor were aware of their health it might discover something. But it kind of just seemed like a fluff questionnaire to me. Took down what prescription medications I take, which is only two eye drops so that didn't take long. She would have drawn blood but since I had an A1c and blood panel done within the last year didn't even do that. When I got our insurance monthly statement the company that does the health visit charged Aetna about 350 dollars each and were paid. Plus the 50 bucks they gave us. She was at the house maybe 30 minutes for me and about the same at a different time for Carolynn. The same lady could not do us both because I am diabetic. I didn't exactly understand that but it required us to have two separate appointments.
Probably some upper muck in Aetna owns the company that does the visits. Seemed like a waste of money and a high cost for not much to me. But maybe it helps some people. Health care for us old farts is a racket.
