It is a long haul to get in there. I would imagine that is why it is less visited. Plus just not as big of area for as many people that go to the south. We rode the mountain roads around that area.

We went there after visiting friends in Seattle, then down the coast of Washington and Oregon and part of California then jumped over to the middle of California and went to Giant Sequoia National Park, drove through Yosemite National park quickly (was jam packed) and used that highway to cross over and go to the south rim of Grand Canyon. Then home to Kansas. One of our epic motorcycle trips several years ago now. Think it was around 2016 or 2017 as I had bought my wife a new red Can-Am Spyder in 2015 and I think that is what we were on.
