Yep truly the path less traveled for the Grand Canyon National Park when compared to the South Rim. About 2000 ft higher in elevation puts you in a different environment from the South Rim. About 52 years ago in early August, kissed my future wife, while sitting on a park bench just outside of that lodge. Reenacted the scene on our 40th anniversary. Hope that the area will be reopened and the Lodge rebuilt.
