OK

Our world was rocked this month when I was diagnosed with PD. I am in my early 60s with no kids and no heir's that want to farm. To say this is a major kick in the gut, is an understatement!! We are wondering what the future holds. We are full time farmers while running quite a few cattle also.

For those of you that are going through this, where do we go from here? Talking with the neurologist and reading the pamphlets they gave us, things look pretty bleak and ominous. They say people progress at their own rate and it may take years to progress between stages. Stress and heat are major triggers for me. Some days it's hard to function and it feels like I'm in a fog. Right now the mental part is almost overwhelming.

We are individuals of strong faith and reliance on God. He has blessed us beyond measure and we know that He is ultimately in control and we can trust Him completely!

How are you handling this? Is it time to retire? What will happen in the next few years or 5 or 10??? So many questions... Thanks for letting me vent anonymously. Only close family know at this time.
God is in control!
