| I have used hoops for hay storage since 1996. Love them and we store all hay under roof or wrap it if hoops r full AND we have never had them catch on fire. Started with a 30x120 that held 20 rows X 12 bales. Even if hay is dry, it has to go thru a sweat. Never pack in hoop immediately. Give it a week to sweat and then pack em in. Never have to fight ice or snow on net-wrap. I don't stack my corn or beans uncovered--they r all safe in a bin. I keep all my stored cow feed under roof to maintain quality and cows do better thru the Iowa winters. | |
