| Brian,
I am at the tractor again. I noticed that it has some "chatter" when I raise the three point at low rpm's. leading me to believe that the hydraulic system has some issues. So I will postpone addressing the low power at the chipper feed motor. All of the plumbing looks as you described, so I think installing a new hose from valve to filter housing will be straightforward, once I have the pump and filter checked out.
I reversed the stop plate on the valve, but the lever still is popping out. I also experimented while the plate was off. In the forward direction, the lever has farther travel, and feels firmly situated at the far end of its travel. In that position, however, it will not run the feed motor. I tried reversing the hoses, but no go. Moving the lever to the rear, it runs the feed motor, and it holds in place, but then pops out when I am using the feed. Not all the time, but some of the time.
One solution is a short bungee cord. Is there a better solution ? | |
