NE Indiana | I will say that the look ahead times on a AccuBoom are not a machine specific and more operator specific on how you drive the sprayer.
The "On Look Ahead" is using your GPS speed and looking that far ahead to see if it needs to turn a boom section on and the "Off Look Ahead" is looking that far ahead to see if it needs to turn off. So depending how aggressive you change speeds while going into/ out of the headlands could greatly change these numbers. I know that I am a little more aggressive than my father and even though we are using the same machine my numbers are higher on the "On" and lower on the "Off" but he doesn't spray much so we just keep my numbers in and if he sprays we just overapply a little more. So my suggestion is to start with a high "On" and a low "Off" and then start adjusting to fit your driving style. | |
