Well whether you meant to sound self righteous or not did and you do. You seem very judgemental also. The daycare that my child attended was owned and staffed by people I have known my whole life. They had a limit on how many children they would accept. So many kids per worker was the formula. Very well structured and loving environment. How do I know my child wasn't harmed? She is doing quite well and is a very successful young adult with a good education behind her and a very nice career. I know my child. You don't. She probably learned more at daycare than she would have at home. She wasn't at daycare six days a week eight hours a day either. My wife worked nights and I took care of getting her ready for her day and off to daycare. My wife slept for a few hours and usually picked our daughter up by noon. Working nights allowed my wife to attend most school functions, be a room mother and do a lot of the things that stay at home moms do. At times she ran on very little sleep but it worked out okay. Having her working allowed us to have some things we wouldn't have otherwise but it also allowed us to save for our daughter's college education and also add to out retirement. You seem to have a real problem with people eating out. You know what? Too bad! It's none of your business if we eat out, drive nice vehicles, or send our kid to daycare. Everyone's situation is different. Obviously for you and many others staying home was the right decision. For others it is not. We probably would have done things differently if we had several kids. The more kids you have the less of an advantage there is to either parent working off the farm. We're not all the same. Try to remember that.
