Plenty of good netwrapped 5x6 bales going for $40-$50. Always fun to see all that hay selling for less than it costs me to put up my own after fertilizer, fuel/wear and tear/rent.

From a FB group. “Anyone having trouble getting paid for custom work?”

Yea i'm definitely doing all the work and overpaying for the hay i'm putting up and buying the shares, but at least i know what i have and all but a handful of bales was put up good and early, no rain and fertilized with some red clover in there as well. I rent little patches from neighbors and have been paying $25/bale for their 50% share for 4x5's they split the fertilizer bill 50% too. Is it too much? Sure, but it helps them out and there are years it really helps me out this year just isn't one of them.
