Southern Indiana | I've been doctoring for afib for 7 or 8 years now. Cardiologist had me on diltiazem and a baby aspirin and got along fine. Had a few breakthroughs, as he called them, but always straightened out. When he retired, the new guy insisted I go on Eliquis. He explained aspirin only made the blood slicker, not thinner. The Eliquis cost over $100/month at my local pharmacy but my Medicare Advantage goes through Express Scripts for my meds and got it down to $20. | |
