Canmore Ab. Canada
Dear Mrs. Seabee,
It is with a heavy heart I write to you. I first say that I do agree with much of what you say and I do believe the home is very important. My wife and I did have the privledge of allowing her to stay at home with our two boys throughout their childhood and teen years. We are thankful for that. Unfortunately that option is not available to all.
Mrs. Seabee, I see in your profile that you list pastor under interests. Either you must be one or married to one? Either way you probably have the power to impact peoples lives to some extent from a position of authority. Mrs. Seabee, how can you be a pastor and declare that some people are "low quality people"? I hought all people were equal in God's eyes?
Mrs. Seabee, how can you know the motives of the people who run daycares? I believe again you are infringing on God's territory. How would a good daycare provider feel to sit under your ministry and have their motives ravaged? It would be no more fair to paint all pastors with a broad brush from the same can of paint.
Mrs. Seabee, how would a single mother who needs to put her children in daycare in order to provide for them feel sitting in your congregation? She needs to have support and care in her struggles and not you looking down on her. Mrs. Seabee, you talk of children who are emotionally damaged by care givers in daycares. Do you ever consider that you as a pastor, a caregiver to your people may be emotionally damaging them?
Mrs. Seabee, with all due respect it would appear that many of the charges you level against daycare workers and daycares could possibly be stated about you and your church but... I need to stop short of that lest I step into God's territory and judge your motives.
Mrs. Seabee, I admire your zeal.
In respect and love. Dan...
