Central ND | I GOT NO idea where you are at or who you are with your first post. ...but try your bigger salvages and dealers to see if there is anything in their warehouses.
I built one out of parts..... never again. ( Too much wasted time, cheaper to get a used complete, you just might end up driving 3 or 400 miles one way to get it) but ,I just had to do it to overcome my thoughts of RE-engineering something simple would be cheap and fast. In a few days I was over that completely, and wished I hadn't started the project since due to not-so-easy availability. There were 2 different brands of parts in my project and had to be reengineered to all fit back together. I was missing the end brackets and had to make them. Braces were missing too and I'm not so sure they still aren't missing. NO hydraulic control valves.NO HOSES...Lots of time involved.
.>>>>>CALL AROUND to dealer and salvage and use classifieds to look for complete units. Drive around a little more and buy a used complete one if you need more than the augers and things will go WAY SMOOTHER! ...Most likely you wont have the hyd. motor either, just the center telescoping shaft piece. Some of the after markets ones use a square shaft and some use splines so they don't fit back and forth either ====some are really worn out inside too ====frustration to find the right matching parts that are good.
.....Meyers salvage Aberdeen SD had some last fall after harvest. Making the brackets and getting a motor hub(expensive,(like 500$) for a motor hub alone/ etc, etc. take more time and money and cost you more than you realize once you start buying plumbing valves and parts. It turned into a week long project just trying to gather parts and fit stuff in place.
Guys will trade the heads off and leave the augers laying out in the machine shed by the walls and all the hardware goes with the header except the augers. So then some guy has a head with hardware and needs augers and another has augers he doesn't need..
>>TWO weeks after I built mine all back together out of pieces and parts, I found out my niece and her husband had one exactly like what I wanted just sitting in the shed for quite a bit less $$ money than I had into mine I built from parts..
Yea, and only 30 miloes away from me instead of 200 for parts that didn't fit when I got there.
