West Central IA | About as simple as it can get. I talked to my brother tonight and he said he did not learn that in the Navy. This information was given to him by another technician and as he put it if you don't want any of your stuff to succumb to lightning you need to do this. It isn't the AC that is getting you, it is the DC and it creates a lot of field when it goes through the wire, but the loop knots lower it by dumping it against it's self.
