| Thanks again for the replies. I think were going to add a couple of days to the trip to give us more time in the area.
Right now I have a hotel at Victoria BC. It's close (30 minutes) to Butchart Gardens so we can get there early. Then on to Nanaima BC so we're close to the ferry. The next day, it's ride the ferry and head to Cache Creek BC thru Whistler. From Cache Creek we're headed to Edson AB. Google takes us thru Jasper NP but we've been there before so wasn't really planning anymore than a drive thru.
From Edson AB, we're headed to North Battleford SK thru Red Deer. The next day is North Battleford to Biggar to Kindersley to Eston and Swift Current in SK and on to Medicine Hat AB for the night. We've been thru some of this area before. One time we were off on a gravel road taking pictures of a Pronghorn buck trying to keep his does rounded up. A farmer in a tandem loaded with wheat even stopped to see if we needed help. I'm sure he wasn't expecting a car with MO license plates stopped at the edge of a wheat field.
Then were headed to Wolf Point MT thru Selby MT. One year we drove Hwy 2 from Crookston MN to the outskirts of Seattle so some of this will be country we've been thru before. We've been thru the Missouri Breaks country of MT several times.
From Wolf Point we're headed to Mobridge SD thru Jordan MT. It must be obvious by now that I seldom take the most direct route.
From Mobridge we're going to Norfolk NE thru Mission SD and Niobrara NE. The view from the bluffs above the MO River at Niobrara are always worth the stop.
From Norfolk we're headed back north to Mankato MN thru Armour, Storla and Madison SD and Tracy MN. I intend to at least drive by the famous Storla store (Sonne Farms of Youtube fame).
We'll finally head home from Mankato going essentially straight south thru Lyle MN, Grinnell IA and Memphis MO.
