| I would pay triple for a 8.1 Chevy in identical condition.
Ford has had the superior chassis arguably since the super duty trucks came out, and probably the best 5 and 6 speed transmissions. However they have no idea how to build an engine, they absolutely despise the people that have to work on their stuff, and they have multiple options for parts and 3 serial number breaks on every model year.
They’re fine, I just think they’re worse than the other options. If you ever did a thread repair on cylinder 5 spark plug you would understand. If you take it to someone for all that work then have at it.
