Subject: RE: Deere 2750 selective control

We bought our 2840 new and it ran hyd cylinders fine from new. We ran it on our 7000 corn planter the second year and it wouldn't run the hyd motor to fill the fertilizer auger. Our 3020 ran it fine previously. Then I found out about the kit , which we installed and it worked better than the 30 or 4020. I'm not sure if the 50 series needs the same kit like the 40 series.
The kit has:
1. Hose from valve to hyd filter.
2. Filter cover with threaded hole to accept hose from #1.
3.new endplate for end of scv valve near rockshaft cover, near blue circle in photo. This severs the connection between the hyd valve and rockshaft cover, so return oil from the hyd motor goes to the hyd filter, not the rockshaft cover.

I did this in 1979 so forgive me if I forgot something.
