I had the same issue with a JD 835, almost had a heart attack when I saw what Deere wanted for it, fortunately we have lots of Mennonite machine shops in Ontario and found one that specializes in pto and drive shafts and he had an overrunning clutch in stock, cut the old one off, welded the new one on for $85 bucks.
