Subject: RE: Driving irrigation pump with belts/pulleys

SE Nebraska
So I’ve done considerable homework to get to the point I’m at with this project. I talked with a couple pump “experts” and put 2-3 posts on here on pump sizing. What I was told was other than a turbine pump, there is no pump that will suck the depth I need to get up that creek bank. It’s about 25’ deep. So I put the pump as close to the water as I could to suck less, push more.

The pump I have is a B4JBH. I looked at a pump curve to check out flow and pressure and it supposedly checks the boxes the best it can.

This is feeding a pivot.

Appreciate your thoughts and engagement.
