“Here” that’s a pretty common issue. Like was said, turning in the ground is pretty rough on them, but can’t be avoided at times.

If you catch them, you can weld them up and get some more life out of them, look carefully around the planter, if there’s marks from an opener rubbing on a shank, that’s likely the next one to give.

They break in basically the same spot, it’s something we check when we go through the planter each year.
