NW Washington
The Butchart Gardens are located near Victoria, BC, on Vancouver Island. If going to Victoria by ferry, use the crossing at Blaine, WA, at the end of I-5. The BC ferry terminal is closest to that border crossing. You should make a reservation for the ferry from Tsawwassen, BC, if you don't want a long wait in the parking lot.

There are local roads that will take you to Blaine without many miles on I-5. The area east of Blaine is known for its many farms, which grow red raspberries and blueberries. Raspberry harvest is about over, but you may see some blueberries still in the field.

Fill your gas tank in the US before crossing the border.
