South Central MN | They don't get every acre off the cloud, mine don't go anywhere. They do have enough of a sample though that they could draw a conclusion about what the yields will be though.
Often happens here that while one area struggles another spot shines and does way above average, might just happen again this year. We also don't have the widespread crop failures that happened years ago, many times the yield just decreases a bit but we always harvest something.
South America seems to be doing well for crops this year also so that is putting pressure on the markets. Could have a lot of extra corn next year if they have a repeat performance. | |
