Subject: RE: Salt restriction

Western Oregon
I have been on a salt restricted diet since 19, 69 now, no meds. We only add sea salt at the table. We buy the little sea salt grinder at Dollar Tree, maybe 2 a year and wife uses the bigger part of that. We use only home made goats milk butter to cook with, much more flavor than sweet cream butter made these days. There are a few things that even I have to have salt on. Most everything we eat, we grow, no processed foods. We cook nearly all our meat outdoors over a wood fire, smoke and fresh ground black pepper. We don't use many herbs, celery, chives and onion. We have a very small kitchen garden near the house and the greenhouse where we grow sprouts and greens. Good fresh foods need very little, if you savor them for their natural flavor. If I don't like it naturally, I don't eat it. Same with sugar, no need for it when picked fully ripe. Natural juice can also be added for even more flavor....James
