We had a 4020 that I believe was a 72. My brother called it a 72 because it had the glass fuel filter like the 30 series. I think previous years had the canister (for lack of a better description) fuel filters. I know that the 69 model we currently have has the vertically mounted (one up, one down) fuel filters.
Ours is a '71 model. Has the glass fuel filter, and long offset gear shift lever.
