| Metal box fastened to a metal wall.
The wire doing the sparking was going into the plug itself ( 3rd prong on a 220 welder plug). and should not have been connected to anything, other than the plug. No ground from the plug to the box.
Unless the plastic plug is internally grounded.
I am sure it was ground finding an easier way, but how can an unconnected wire be easier?
Also a little concerned there might be a better ground than my ground bar in the fuse panel. | |
