Figure out how many gallons per minute and pressure you want. It is really nice to put PTO in gear and move lever over starting an engine. But if you are using more than one tractor, the movable is nice. If you need big power, PTO is the only answer. Putting a PTO on transmission is a fair amount of work. Heavy and gear lash is critical. Depends how much you can do yourself. If you bring a used wet kit to a shop, they are going to want the same margin of profit as selling new parts. I have put on several PTOs and it is sure possible. But real work and careful. I do have a couple double pumps in the shop I should get rid of.
