| I think most collapses are due largely to undercutting the face. This in turn is often caused by excessively tall piles or the use of a skidsteer for loading.
Our neighbour had a guy die from a collapse years ago. He wasn't crushed, but suffocated before he could be helped. Those guys had a fifty foot tall pile and were undercutting with the payloader. I think they got one of those rake attachments to pull the top down now. | |
