| If you can, I'd recommend leveling the area. Cows don't like changes in slope much, even more when they can't effectively see the ground from shadows.
Dairy barns use the 'cows like to go up' trick, but don't exceed 2 degrees slope. Cows dislike walking down more than 1 degree.
Keep in mind that these slope rules only apply when they are stressed (such as when handling).
If cows are too tame, the bud box won't even work. | |
