Sad deal for sure.
We have become complacent when it comes to weather warnings.
I saw a resident of the area interviewed on the news whose home was destroyed that made a comment to the effect... "if us people living in flood country paid attention to every flood warning we would be evacuated most all of the time."
I wonder how many threads have been started on NAT in the past slamming weather forecasters for being overly dramatic when warning people about the potential for a severe weather event when the weather event fizzles out and turns into a non-event?
