Seere used to have them clear out front. IH over the engine. When AC came out with them below the cab on both sides, people questioned that. As fuel consumption increased, tank sized needed to as well. Look at the tanks on the Big Buds.


Bud wasn't the first to have saddle/fender tanks. Oliver had the fenders tanks, Versatile had them since the beginning, Wagner did as well. Steiger had the entire back end as a tank.

On my 525, you only fill the front for a normal day. If you want to push 20+ hours or need more weight you fill the back(fuel transfer is slow).
