Had a problem last spring with my 4640 getting hard to steer Just like your describing. Turned out to be just the needle bearing in the steering column.
Jack the front end up so both wheels are off the ground. If it steers easier with the engine off than it does while running, it is probably that needle bearing.
Interesting, I will check that needle bearing out tomorrow! |
