I  think the   serviceman  tested them to measure ohms..  So  I'd  say yes for that  simple test.
    But  the phrase 'inconclusive'  was mentioned.   Seems the  go-to is to replace with new  when  nothing else  pans out. 
   He  even  tried  different   Hz  frequencies  but   credited my account  when that didn't work.


Doe's  yours  work ok for  some time,  then  eventually  error's  out?    when you  check it, is it off the trail?  Signs of it  'hunting'  before it safeties off?
