Subject: RE: Deere 148 loader joystick

Kingston,Mi
When I converted my loader to a joy stick, I bought a Prince joystick, (2) 6 ft cables conversion kits and a 2 valve body with 1 float from Shoup. Surplus has the same. Made in USA and high quality. Built my own mount and installed in a Sound Guard cab by drilling a hole large enough to pass the 2 cables thru the floor, mount is near the shift levers and within easy reach in a normal seating position. Tapped hydraulic supply from the side of the right hand select control valve body and return to the ported filter housing.

Tractor is in the shop currently with the dreaded "Mannheim" hydraulic syndrome and I ask the mechanic about the source that I chose for the supply rather than the recommended source at the pressure relief valve. He said my choice was ok.
