| A common misconception is the 50 amp circuit is 220 v technical this is incorrect, the 50amp has two lines feeding power each with 110v if you don't believe me take a volt meter and check, if you are missing 1 "leg" of power when using a 50 amp power supply some of the electric components will work others will not, typically they try to balance the load as even as possible on each leg, on ours each "leg" has an air conditioner, and one other higher draw appliance, like water heater or cloths dryer if equipped if you are using a 30 amp service the adapter combines the two wires going into the fuse panel and powers with a single leg of power similar to if you were to plug in a 50 amp cord. There is nothing that I'm aware of in a camper that is actual 220v every breaker in every fuel panel I have looked at are always 110v breakers
