That is interesting, how some people are more prone to crave salt than others.

I remember as a kid my mom always salted things beyond what I thought should be. She obviously craved or at least liked the taste of salt. I find my wife and I doing the same thing as we got older. We are always grabbing the salt shaker. We both tend to like a lot of salt.

Most of the doctors I follow say "salt to taste". Sounds like you do so are savvy with their advice.

Lots of prepared or boxed food has added salt. Sometimes quite a bit. So if a person changes to a whole food low carb diet a lot of times they well be reducing their salt intake without even realizing it. So to meet their electrolyte needs they may need to use the salt shaker more than they have been used to. It may seem like they are greatly increasing their salt intake when in reality they are just changing where the source came from.
