SW OH | There are quite a few farmers around here who have been on a volunteer department at some point. They do more than fight fires around here. On a lot of calls 2 fire trucks escort the medic. Some years ago there was a guy that got his arm stuck in a round baler. When they finally found him, the guys in the first truck were all from the city and didn't have a clue how to shut off the tractor. The second truck had a farmer and he knew what to do including where to put the wrench and turn the baler backwards. He still lost his arm at the elbow, but they got him out quickly.
