Subject: RE: Bud Box question

Only thing that really needs to be sheeted is the gate you close behind them when you bring them in, my box is level but the Alley slopes up a couple of feet in the first 28 feet and it works fine, theoretically something I read on line is cattle like to go up rather then down as it makes them feel safer as a prey animal, not sure how or if that plays into your set up. With the slope sides maybe need to be higher??? Tamer your cattle are the shorter it should be, 24 feet may be too long, I sold a a chute to a neighbor and he used 24 foot freestanding panels and it did not work quite right, but his cattle are quite tame, you want the cattle to feel a bit "uncomfortable" som they want to get out of the box.
