10-12 percent at seven pm. The stems were good and dry, we had a breakdown and didn't finish up till ten when the dew came on. The moisture tester said 25, we doubled up on the preservative and finished the field. The bales gained about seventy pounds in weight, some of that was leaf retention. This afternoon, the bales were 88-90 degrees which was the same as the ambient temp. In the past if we had too much stem moisture they would heat right away. This is my second attempt with baking at night. It worked really well last year, but that was third cutting.
