Subject: RE: Nebraska drought

Nebraska aka the boondocks
Another idiotic thread based upon hyperbole, but I will play along. It’ didn’t snow much at all last winter, it is the windiest year in 50 years, irrigation doesn’t cover the entire state, the drought monitor is cumulative. These are facts you can go read about before you blah blah blah. I did receive 2.7 inches yesterday generally, perfect. 10 days off from running the machines and changing gates. I hope to get another perfect rain and then another and another, like so many other places apparently do, but I know better than that, we will be irrigating sooner than later.
The issue for Nebraska, which has been mentioned on here for years is soil moisture capacity, which is not as much as other places, way higher elevations and the dry land, which is 1/3 of the crops depends mostly on August whether.
