Alpena MI | We love our hoop barn though for the health gains we see after we move cattle in vs the 10' ceiling barn that we bring cattle into when they come onto the farm. In the hoop barn their coats slick right up and less lung trouble in the hoop barn. I would seriously consider building a new hoop barn for cattle just because of the light, airy atmosphere. The hoop barns that are on my farm were here when I bought the place we just poured a floor in this one and installed a waterer and mobile bunks and gates to feed heifers and steers separate. We have an 80' X 220'X 24' sidewalls, steel building frame that we are planning to stand up for cattle in a year or 2. We haven't decided on a floor plan for that on yet. | |
