 SW Ohio | Chaos, that sums up this spring pretty well here. See my brothers post in mach talk on breakdowns. Did get everything planted but not on time and it really shows the stress from too much rain, ( no data but I would guess 15-20 inches in the last two months) Corn from shoulder high to boot top and yellow in the same row across many acres, beans thin in the wet spots and short. Hay baled with none getting wet but a solid month behind schedule if you look at the calendar. The rain forest conditions have been friendly to Johnson grass and waterhemp, they are growing just fine.....
Took a tour a few counties north and also here at home and there are plenty of bad spots for everyone, so can't complain too much, because misery loves company and it is a big club. The mental stress is off the charts. | |
