Alpena MI | A sale barn purchase that didn't pan out as intended. $1057 heifer that has been here eating hay for about 2 months dropped a calf today. We discovered it was bred when we put it through the chute to vaccinate and implant it. We didn't implant it and we sorted it off and put it on hay and a bit of grain to increase body condition some because it was pretty shabby. No idea where we go from here but we'll do okay with this purchase I think.
