Hooker Twp,Ne | That is a very difficult decision to make when that decision is in your shoes about a love one. Myself and my kids were there 2 years ago with my wife after a major stroke. She couldn’t swallow. Two doctors told us to let her go and one doc said give it 20 days with a feeding tube. They took feeding tube out and she could swallow soft food. That built up to solid food. Now to get her to talk and walk again. Well as of today that basicly hasn’t happened. She knows what goes on around her. Can sing a song and say the Lord’s Prayer but can’t make a conversation. And can’t walk and in diapers. Does she have full quality of life. By no means. But she is alive and I have a wife I can visited twice daily and care for in a LTC facility. It is what it is and it’s not our decision to always make. | |
