Iowa | Exactly. The medical industry is screwed up. Only been to 1 hospital that wasn’t remodeling- and that was Mayo Clinic children’s hospital in Rochester- place was a dump but saved many kids (including our son) lives. Then you go to the local places and they are remodeling the OB section every 5 years - cause we’ve had what 1000 kids born there in that time, and 5 rooms just in case a few go into labor at the same time.
I think you nailed the greed part. And that’s a heart issue. How do you define it? We have people complaining they can’t take a 3rd vacation or upgrade their boat - while 1/2 of society is fighting just to pay the bills.
James Golden (Bo Snerdley on Limbaugh) once said that greed is the downfall of our society - our founders said our system required a moral people in order for it to work. What is the morality of a Dr/surgeon making $5 million/year to “save lives” while the life he saved is now bankrupt paying for his boat. What is the morality of the ceo making 1000x what the people that make the company work - I am a capitalist- they have every right to do this, but if they had some moral compass they should probably find ways to give back more than they do. | |
