south central IL | A while back I was at the doctor, by mistake they it billed to me directly for cash payment instead of my insurance.When I saw that total and also what was billed to my insurance company I was appalled at the difference. I don’t remember the exact figures but the cash bill was substantially less. I don’t really know how to interpret that except that but in my mind we could definitely have cheaper healthcare if all of the government bureaucracy was gone.
