Yes I know about Higromatics. We had an under truss one right across the road from our house. The Gates rubber company developed a farm in NE Colorado and in a few years it ran out of water or something happened and the sprinklers were A frame higromatics. Another neighbor went and bought about 3 of them and moved them to SW KS. They were easily flipped over during storms but they must have been resilient because he would flop them back over and continue to run them. The Olson hydraulic cylinder drive was a good idea my dad had one and it got stuck one night and the cylinder kept stroking and it dug itself into the Sandhills clear down to the truss rod he had to get a backhoe to dig it out. The Higromatic structure was very sound, and several out here were converted to electric and ran several more years.
