 Pedee, Oregon | If you run a CV joint at high rpm close to its maximum angle capacity, it’s not going to have a very long life. The more it has to move, generates heat which uses up grease and leads to failure. I don’t think you want to shut the system off every few hours and grease the driveline.
Could you run a generator with the engine and drive the pump driveline with an electric motor, either directly coupled or through belts? Then it would be easy to align angles. | |
