Do you rent all your ground or own? What percentage is yours? If your uncle owns it will he pull it out from under you in an angry moment? How secure is your land base? I farm with my brother and now my son has joined us, Brother owns land, I own land, and a land company that is just brother and I owns some that we farm all as one big farm. A LLC we formed owns all the equipment. Not sure how big a mess we are headed for.
We mostly cash rent. Our home farm, in which we both live on is owned 50/50. Each of our homes is on 2 acres, which we each own, solely. |
